To Contribute to the Development and Deepening of Nursing Science to become a Researcher with Advanced Education, Research, and Practical Skills

In order to develop the academic foundation of nursing science, the program promotes scholarship and research in nursing science on an international and interdisciplinary basis, and fosters researchers and educators with advanced education, research, and practical skills who will contribute to the development and deepening of nursing science. We have established programs to develop advanced research skills, expand new specialized knowledge and expertise in nursing, and explore research issues, and we support a variety of research methods.
Students will be awarded the degree of Doctor of Nursing Science upon completion of three years of study and fulfillment of the requirements for completion.

 

Global Perspective on the Future and Pioneering the Future of Nursing Science

In the Doctoral Program, students will be able to study core subjects common to the Doctoral Program's specialties in order to further solidify their foundations as researchers in nursing science, subjects to explore the depth of theory and research in nursing science, and advanced academic, interdisciplinary, and international subjects that support the development of nursing science.

In addition, students will accumulate, refine, and expand new specialized knowledge based on the common subjects in the major, and learn specialized knowledge in the fields of pediatric nursing, oncology nursing, psychiatric nursing, family nursing, community nursing, pathophysiology of nursing, and nursing management and administration, as well as the latest knowledge and skills, theories, and research. Students will be able to learn about the latest knowledge and techniques, and the relationship between theory and research. In addition, students will be able to develop the ability to explore and solve practical and research issues theoretically and through research, and write a doctoral dissertation.

The faculty members of the Graduate School of Nursing take a leadership role in their respective fields of specialization to improve the quality of nursing and the development of nursing science by promoting pioneering initiatives with an eye on social trends and the needs of healthcare. We have faculty members who are active in the academic world both at home and abroad, including those who serve as directors of academic societies and organize national conferences, and those who obtain external funding to promote research and conduct joint research with other universities. In addition, top leaders in various fields are invited as part-time lecturers.
